Nothing is Impossible
"I can't I can't, she murmured with hopelessness in her voice. She crawled into a corner of her room, sobbing furiously. Everyone can understand what their teacher has taught, why not she? Why can't she understand what teachers said? Why only her?
There were only two weeks left in Elizabeth's exams but the situation remained the same, she couldn't cope up with the work. The letters danced besides her innocent brain. The numbers all went blurred and jumped up when she tried to understand them. Her parents and teachers were sure to see a broad red "F" on her report card. No matter how hard she tried, she always failed in all her tests. It seemed that she was born for tears. Suddenly, a door opened and a soft voice called "Elizabeth!". She looked up and saw her elder sister named "Pamela" She was wise and by profession a doctor. Pamela was surprised to see Elizabeth's tear stained face. She inquired the reason and the litter girl sobbed. That was when Pamela understood the reason of Elizabeth's failure and tears. She recalled immediately what her professor told about a disease. Elizabeth was suffering from 'dyslexia'. No she was not mentally retarded, just a little problem. "Its Ok, Elizabeth darling", said Pamela encouragingly, "it does not matter in how many tests you fail, I'll always have trust in you". That was the turning point of Elizabeth's life. Her sister Dr.Pamela started giving her extra time for studies. Very soon Elizabeth was cured of the disease.
It was her exam, that day, Would she be able to show her sister that she can do it or.....? "I trust you, darling", said Pamela waving her hand from the car. Elizabeth waved back and entered the school with a strong ambition. She took the paper and glanced at it. "Oh! how easy!", she exclaimed. All the class turned to look at her. "Sorry", she murmured and started her paper. She went on till the bell rang and she handed the paper to her teacher.
Exams were finished and Elizabeth manged very well. At last the result came and she went to her school hall. She held her breath as the Principal read out the results. She has topped! She nearly fell out of her chair. Elizabeth had done it! She was the winner! Years passed and today she is a famous author. So, my friends, if you ever find yourself in a situation similar to Elizabeth's, don't give up and fight till you win. As you know, "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE"
